Music Monday #12: My Favorite Holiday Albums

It’s that time of the year again. Shops are filled with holiday decorations and it’s once again acceptable to stuff your face with all kinds of holiday treats.

As fall is slowly coming to a close, I am ready to bust out my favorite Christmas albums and get into the spirit of the season. Here they are:

Michael Bublé -Christmas

This has fast become a modern classic that everyone seems to just love at this time of year. I’m not the biggest fan of Michael Bublé at any other time of the year, but his Christmas album I adore. It’s filled with all the classics and manages to steer away from cheesy most of the time.

She & Him – A very She & Him Christmas

She & Him offer a more relaxed and quirky take on the Christmas classics and I absolutely adore Zooey Deschanel’s deep, warm voice. The album is cute and inviting, making it perfect to play at holiday parties or while cozying up with a hot cup of tea and a good book.

Seth Macfarlane – Holiday for Swing

Seth Macfarlane appears to not only have a penchant for hilarious jokes, but also for classic, swing-inspired renditions of holiday favorites. His take on a Christmas album is probably the most classic, reminiscent of Old Hollywood versions of well-known festive tunes. It’s got his signature dash of humor and some amazing guest artists, so its definitely one to add to the collection this holiday season.
